Learn more about your impact

Professor Linda A. Vaughan was a nutrition faculty member at ASU for nearly four decades. She was part of transitioning nutrition education at ASU from a small home economics program to its current prominent stature in the School of Nutrition and Health Promotion. When Professor Vaughan retired as director of the School of Nutrition and Health Promotion within the College of Health Solutions in 2016, the Nutrition Program boasted over 500 majors and was one of the largest and most successful dietetics programs in the U.S. Your gifts will support students who wish to follow in Professor Vaughn’s footsteps and continue advancing nutrition research and education.

I lived for those aha moments — the moment when a student’s face registered, ‘I get it now.’ That’s the big reward, and that’s what carries you through the years.”

Impact of Donor Support

  • More learners can pursue higher education. In 2022, 22,000 donors contributed $66.3 million for scholarships.
  • More students succeed. ASU ranks #1 among the state’s public universities for its 86% first-year retention rate thanks in part to donor-funded student success initiatives.
  • And donors helped ASU offer more than 4,500 hours of free tutoring.

I believe ASU is a major life force in our community and I want to do my part to help it thrive."
