Join the Beus family in providing fully-funded scholarships for students of ASU's School of Medicine and Advanced Medical Engineering
Long-time Arizona State University donor Annette Beus and her family have made a $5 million leadership gift to establish the Beus Family Scholarships for ASU’s School of Medicine and Advanced Medical Engineering. Their gift helps fund scholarships that attract top medical students from the communities they will one day serve as physicians.
In addition to this foundational gift, The Beus Challenge seeks to raise $20 million in support to cover tuition for the first two cohorts of ASU medical students. Your generous contribution will help us seize this unique opportunity to inspire change and shape a brighter future in health care.
Your gift will help meet a staggering need in Arizona. Arizona faces a shortage in almost every health care profession, and experts say physician turnover rates will be impacted by approaching retirements in the next decade.
The scholarships you create will help ASU’s medical school produce the next generation of physicians who can blend medicine, engineering, technology and humanities to become the leaders in health care that Arizona and the nation need.
The challenge ends in July 2026.
Make a gift of $215,000, and the Beus gift will match 25% of your gift through The Beus Challenge. Your gift can be made outright or as a pledge payable over at least four years. Together, you will cover the cost of one four-year scholarship and transform a student's life.
Your scholarship will be named for both you and the Beus family in recognition of your collective impact.
To commemorate your gift, you will be recognized with a named plaque prominently displayed at the ASU Health campus in downtown Phoenix.
