The Pate family has been an active part of the Sun Devil community since 1991, producing five sibling alumni in the 1990s and 2000s. Sean Pate, '97 BS in Exercise Science, established the Pate Family Endowment in 2018 to help support ASU Athletics upward mobility and championship ambitions. The Sun Devil experience has provided a strong bond for the native San Francisco Bay Area family who all migrated to the Valley over the years and can regularly be seen at Sun Devil Athletics events.
