Child Laboratory Programs

Learn more about your impact

The program plays an integral role in the university's threefold mission of teaching, research and service. Licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services, the program provides a unique opportunity for aspiring early childhood professionals to gain real-world experience while helping children and families participate in safe, child-centered research studies conducted by faculty and graduate students. Your generous support directly funds the wages of these work-study students, who are gaining critical experience working with young children and their families.

I can constantly apply what I learn in my classes to my work and it helps me understand some concepts when I see them firsthand. I now have enough experience to help me get other jobs or internships down the road."

Impact of Donor Support

Your gift will:

  • Help students gain direct early childhood career experience — and get compensated while doing so.
  • Support quality childhood program facilitating children's intellectual, social-emotional and physical development.
  • Give students an opportunity to learn best practices in early childhood development, which can translate to future careers serving local families and communities.

Working at the program on campus is something I think about often to this day. Being able to be in class and learn something and then the next day observe and work with kids to see how it related in real life scenarios was very helpful
