Learn more about your impact

The primary goal of the ENERGIZE Initiative in Psychology is to help undergraduate students obtain laboratory experience that furthers their understanding of scientific psychology and that increases the success of their applications to postgraduate programs. We achieve this goal by providing the following:

  • Mentoring to prepare the student for a laboratory interview. Intensive mentoring in laboratory skills.
  • The opportunity to develop and conduct their own research in the laboratory or in a special course, Applied Psychological Methods.
  • Professional development opportunities such as travel to conferences to present their research.

Impact of Donor Support

  • More learners can pursue higher education. In 2022, 7,406 students received scholarships funded by donors, which totaled $39.3 million.
  • More students succeed. ASU ranks #1 among the state’s public universities for its 85% first-year retention rate thanks in part to donor-funded student success initiatives.
  • And donors helped ASU offer more than 4,500 hours of free tutoring.
