The English Chair Fund is a discretionary account for use in addressing areas of high priority, including the assistance of English department students in immediate need of financial support. Your generosity directly supports these students through funding for housing, food assistance, or other emergency needs. You help these students remain on track and earn a degree.
Impact of Donor Support
- More learners can pursue higher education. In 2022, 7,406 students received scholarships funded by donors, which totaled $39.3 million.
- More students succeed. ASU ranks #1 among the state’s public universities for its 85% first-year retention rate thanks in part to donor-funded student success initiatives.
- And donors helped ASU offer more than 4,500 hours of free tutoring.
