Learn more about your impact
ASU's School of Public Affairs (SPA) is among the leading schools in the nation with our academic programs viewed nationally as being of the highest quality. In April 2024, U.S. News & World Report ranked ASU’s graduate programs the following:
- No. 3: local government management, ahead of Syracuse University, Indiana University and USC.
- No. 5: public management and leadership, No. 5 — ahead of Harvard, USC and New York University.
- No. 9: urban policy, ahead of Harvard; the University of California, Berkeley; and the University of Michigan.
These rankings are due in part to our talented faculty who are incredibly fortunate to have a strong partnership with our practitioners, community partners and donors like you who unite to educate our Fellows who aspire to be future public sector leaders.
Impact of Donor Support
The Marvin Andrews and Jane Morris Fellowship in Urban Management, which is a two-year program leading to a master's degree in public administration or public policy, is designed to identify the country’s most talented students aspiring to executive leadership positions in local government. In their first year, Fellows are either employed as part-time, paid management interns by ASU's Center for Urban Innovation or receive a two-year part-time, paid internship in a city in the Phoenix metropolitan area. In the second year, all Fellows secure a part-time, paid internship with a city in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
When you choose to direct your gift towards our endowment fund, you are contributing to a long-term investment in the future sustainability of our Fellowship. Endowment funds are invested and generate interest income annually that support Fellow scholarships, tuition and associated program fees in perpetuity. Thank you for your generosity in advancing the mission and impact of the Marvin Andrews and Jane Morris Fellowship.
We want to show the power of a university to be a difference-making partner in the positive transformation of all communities."
