Learn more about your impact
The mission of the American Indian Policy Institute is to lead the discourse for tribally driven, informed policy-making. When you give to the AIPI, you enable research in which tribal governments identify their own research needs and seek out collaborations with the university. Your gifts empower Tribal Nations, tribal communities and American Indian students through projects that support self-determination and build tribal capacity. The AIPI provides thought leadership on American Indian policy in order to enhance our local impact and social embeddedness serving Native Nations. By providing progressive policy analysis, research and executive education, we elevate Native Nations in local, regional, national and global communities. Research and policy analysis AIPI is a think-tank with a primary focus on public policy analysis and research. We have expertise in telecommunications, communications, broadband, digital inclusion, technology for language retention, technology as the backbone for community and economic development, and communication ethics.
Education and training AIPI is known nationally for our Tribal Economic Leadership Program (and partnership with NAFOA) and for our award-winning entrepreneurship classes, which serve as the foundation for Inno-NATIONS, the first urban tribal business accelerator in the nation.
Community engagement Community and economic development is vital to Indian Country. We support Native nation building as an exercise of sovereignty by tribal nations. We work with tribal communities, tribal organizations and organizations serving tribes.
