Learn more about your impact
Emeritus Professor Pat Gober in the School of Geographical Sciences and Urban Planning is a leading authority on water management decision-making research. Her research has sparked interest across the globe and she has won international prizes for being at the forefront of integrating physical and social science for water planning. Your gift will support student water-related research and may be used to support travel, purchase of data, surveys and expendable field supplies related to the proposed research.
So much of planet Earth is made up of water. The more we know about water the more we know about the planet, our solar system and so much more. The Pat Gober Water Prize allowed me to research water in ways I’ve never done before."
Impact of Donor Support
- More learners can pursue higher education. In 2022, 22,000 donors contributed $66.3 million for scholarships.
- More students succeed. ASU ranks #1 among the state’s public universities for its 86% first-year retention rate thanks in part to donor-funded student success initiatives.
- And donors helped ASU offer more than 4,500 hours of free tutoring.
Our family believes in giving back and sharing the blessings we have received financially and through our time."
