Randy J. Virden is the director of the Parks and Recreation Management Program in the School of Community Resources and Development at Arizona State University. He was the founding director of the School of Community Resources and Development and the former chair of the Department of Recreation Management and Tourism. He has also served as graduate coordinator and been a member of the faculty in the natural resource recreation/tourism program for more than 20 years. Professor Virden earned his doctorate from the College of Natural Resources at Utah State University.
