Learn more about your impact

Your donations make it possible for students at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law to pursue their true passion in public interest or service to the government sector in federal, tribal and state roles in their community. This fund was created to allow students to pursue public service or public interest externships without the worry about the financial differences that often come with public service and public interest placement. With your support, students can build a career based on public service and advancing Indigenous rights rather than taking a for-profit or higher-paying position.

There is a demonstrated need for more legal professionals to serve in public service and public interest roles, yet students are often faced with the decision to take a for profit and higher paying opportunity over their true passion area in a public interest area, or in service to the government sector in federal, tribal and state roles within their community. This fund will allow students to pursue public service or public interest externships without the worry about the financial differences that often come with public service and public interest placements”.

Impact of Donor Support

This fund was created to allow students to pursue public service or public interest externships without the worry about the financial differences that often come with public service and public interested placements.  I prioritize public service and public interest work at the national, tribal, state and local levels and I am committed to forging the value of our students in developing their sense of responsibility for public service.
